A 56 year old Gladwin County man was killed in a farm tractor accident on October 13th, 2007 in Buckeye Township. The man was working the tractor’s post hole digger on his property when his clothing got caught in the rotating take-off shaft.
According to the U.S. Department of Labor,
there are approximately 3.1 million men and women who work on America’s 2.3 million farms and ranches. According to Accident Facts published in 1990 by the National Safety Council, farm accidents and other work-related health problems claim as many as 1300 lives and cause 120,000 injuries a year, most of which are preventable.
Mr. Smith has practiced as a trial attorney since graduating Notre Dame Law School in 1992. He has litigated cases across the country including cases from Ventura County, California to Middlesex County, New Jersey. He practices in both State and Federal courts.
